About HEIC to PNG
HEIC to PNG converts HEIC files to PNG. HEIC is the High Efficiency Image format used by recent iPhones and iPads; it stores photos at about half the size of JPG but is not supported everywhere. PNG is a lossless raster format that supports full transparency. It suits screenshots, logos and graphics with sharp edges, but photographs make large PNG files.

Step-by-step instructions for this conversion.
Add your HEIC file by dragging it into the upload area or choosing it from your device.
Confirm PNG as the output format and, if offered, adjust quality or size.
Start the conversion. The file is uploaded and converted on our servers while the progress bar updates.
Download the PNG file and check it before deleting the original.
Differences between the two formats that affect the result.
HEIC photos often open only on Apple devices and newer Windows setups, so converting to JPG or PNG makes them shareable.
PNG is lossless, so the conversion itself will not lower quality, but it cannot bring back detail already lost in a lossy source.
Converting a lossy HEIC to lossless PNG gives a larger file but cannot restore detail that was already discarded.
Conversions done in your browser drop embedded metadata such as camera details and GPS location. Files converted on our servers keep it, so remove location data first if that matters to you.

If your browser can decode this format itself (Safari can open HEIC; support for the others varies), files up to about 25 MB on desktop and 10 MB on mobile are converted on your device without uploading. Otherwise the file is uploaded to our servers over HTTPS, converted, and deleted afterwards by an automated cleanup job. See the Privacy Policy for details.

Make sure the file really is HEIC (renaming an extension does not change the format) and that it opens correctly on your device. Password-protected, DRM-protected or corrupted files are rejected. If the file is very large, try again with a smaller one.

Files above the in-browser size limit, low-powered devices, and browsers that cannot decode or produce the format are handled on the server automatically. The result is the same format.
